Ron Koudys comes by his passion for landscape and design naturally. As a boy, he discovered an early appreciation for outdoor spaces while working in the family landscape maintenance and construction business. Decades later, Ron now maintains a flourishing private practice.
Eager to share his expertise with the next generation of landscape architects, Ron has been instrumental in the development and teaching of the Landscape Design, Horticulture and Integrated Land Planning Technologies programs at Fanshawe College in Ontario since 1980.
An esteemed professor, in 2008 Ron was awarded the Fanshawe College Presidents Award of Distinction for his contribution to the College community. And in 2009, Ron received the Staff Person of the Year Award by the Association of Canadian Community Colleges which represents over 150 post secondary institutions across the country.
Ron is also the recipient of a number of design awards including the Landscape Ontario Presidents Award, the National Post Design Effectiveness Award and many City of London Urban Design Awards.
Certified to practice landscape architecture in both Canada and the state of Michigan, Ron provides consulting services for many land developers, municipal governments and multinational corporations.
